Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19 1946 Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of life through her vivid and expansive imagination. Prior to learning how to read and write Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own songs. At the age of eight, she bought her first electric guitar and began to sing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. She recorded her first album in the same calendar year on Gold Band Records, a small label that was an independent. Although she was in school, she had already made a name of herself in the local music scene. However, her goal was to to perform at a much larger level. The singer moved to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host at the time, was in search for a singer for his show. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed with RCA Records. In 1974, she quit Wagoner's show due to the commercial success of her solo songs like Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was surpassing their joint albums. Parton recorded "I I Will Never Forget You" for Wagoner soon after their split. The song reached number. The first time it reached number 1 was in 1974.
